A windy day.
I drive past a road full of trees and it's a shower of leaves and petals. It makes me feel nostalgic for younger days when I could run around with friends, trying to catch elusive, fluttering leaves.
It's a beautiful serenade of nature along the roads. I wish I weren't in a car and watching out from behind glass. I long to feel the pattering of leaves against my hair, the breeze against my skin.
As I drive on, I see the leaves dance across the tar road. They tumble and prance like creatures all their own. As cars in front drive by, smaller leaves and petals lift up in the following breeze. They're the glitter found in nature, small and bright against grey roads.
I feel closer to nature when I see them, yet so far away behind steel and glass.
