Single-hand egg-cracking skill learnt and consistent. Oddly enough, I seem to be left handed in this particularly endeavor. Hmm.
Went to the de Young museum today. Mmm, I continue to realise that staring at painting after painting after painting for hours upon hours is just not for me. In fact, i enjoyed staring at the crane catching mini fishes in the fountain just outside the museum far more than I enjoyed staring at the pieces on display. Such is the way my brain works, I suppose. The docent in charge of our tour mentioned how people who don't like art tend to gravitate towards realism rather than modernism or impressionism. Well.... I like realism. I appreciate it more than the sharp lines and harsh colors of abstract art or the noise of certain impressionistic paintings. That's just me. I did enjoy the crafts section as well as the silver cutlery. I really liked the cutlery. All in all, a tiring day. Memo to self: approach Howell about his research on buying behavior and whether the act of buying experience needs to have company in order to be enjoyable.
Mum's going through some melo-drama in the business and general real life. Hmm, I'm getting stressed hearing from her half a world away about what's going on.
Am ridiculously tired nowadays. I seem to be having odd sleeping behaviour recently. First the waking up yelling courtesy of demented REM-sleep, then the relocation of my blanket in my sleep to an entirely different section of the bed that was clearly not done through leg activity, then the act of shoving of my stack of books and my alarm clock off the bedside table with my blanket, and, just recently, waking up in the middle of the night from the cold to realising that I somehow removed my sweatshirt and sweater in my sleep. Hmm...
Am tired.
