Today was shit.
It started out well enough. I walked to school, made it wicked early and took a light nap in the hall. Then we touched on types of love in class and it was amusing. The next class went well enough and at lunch I got a seat at the cafeteria.
No, the bad things started later. Like the fact that I lost my hat. I'm upset about that. It was given to me by my mum and was a nice looking hat. Then I went to Trader Joe's and shopped. And lugged my stuff with my heavy, heavy bag back to college for a meeting. That hurt quite a bit. Then I lugged it back to my new room. That hurt quite a bit too.
Ah, but the real drama began when I called up Citibank trying to set up an online account with better interest rates and got bombed. Then I had to set up my HSBC account and at first the online service went whacko. Then, I tried to transfer funds through my Citi account and was told that I had to update my account info. So I called up Customer Service (as was specified on the pretty, pretty webpage) and was told I had to go to a branch. I also got info on the fact that if I wire money to another account in another bank online, I'll get charged a fucking bomb. So I now I've got to go to HSBC in Irving to issue myself a cheque. What a load of rubbish.
So off I rushed to the bank, thanking all fate that I didn't decide to change out of my street clothes yet. Rushed over, sat down, got that done and decided to walk across the street to bank in my cheque. It was... tedious. I've never seen such an unfriendly self-service machine before. I ended up asking for a banker's help and got the same guy who helped me set up the account before. He was nice and showed me how to work the machine, so yay.
Then I went to back to Trader's Joes and decided to get that juice I wanted but didn't feel like lugging around the first time. I ended up buying an orange juice and a milk carton that totalled to a gallon, so that was a lovely walk back again. All in all, I think I walked more than three miles today. Fuck. I also had the joy of getting an even bigger hole in my sock from the walking I did in my rocking MBT shoes. Joy...
Overall, I think God just loves tormenting me.
