Within each child
does a sleeping dragon lie,
resting its wings
from the winds of the wild.
Within each dame
does a sleeping dragon lie
hiding its claws
and acting out the tame.
Within each man
does a sleeping dragon lie
resting its head
upon the bloodied land.
But know that awakened
uncurled and at large
the Dragons are fierce
and mercy forsaken.
It's best
to let sleeping dragons lie.
