Yes, yes, I'm actually happy. Go take cover from impending doom and hope you've got your provisions stocked up to last you through the second ice age.

Why am I so blasted happy? Why, because my Internet is up and running again! You think to yourself, "Wasn't it up and running anyway?"

Yea, well, apparently the new modem managed to last for about a week or so before dying on me. Tsk tsk tsk, they just don't make appliances like they used to.

Ah, but I'm digressing. Fact of the matter is (in very summarised way):

Old modem dies, new one installed, still no connection, Telekom techs come, connection on. New modem dies, I call TMnet, tech comes and fixes everything in less than ten whole freaking minutes. Handy, no? I have to say, the customer service is really good. And I do so hope saying this doesn't come back to haunt me later on.

It's a happy me who gets to go online again.

Oh, and a footnote: I went to JJ school as a Research Assistant for a, well, research, and got the worst headache to hit me since 2006 Chemistry class. I actually woke up twice in the middle of the night because my migraine hurt so damn bad.

I officially have new found respect for teachers all over the world. And no, JJ students weren't that bad, but some were really difficult. To those other idiots who were fool enough to become RAs as well, you know what I mean.

Also, on the one day I needed rest and went to bed early, ol' Uncle Z decides to call me up at 1-freaking-am in the ***damn morning! Dammit! Does no one keep proper hours and common sense anymore?
